MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Everyone except drivers took over a few streets in Minneapolis on Sunday.

The Open Streets event is run by volunteers with the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition. People could bike, walk and play in the street without any traffic. The first of the season was today along Lyndale Avenue between 22nd and 42nd Street in Minneapolis.

It ended at 5 p.m., but there will be a total of eight Open Streets events throughout the summer.
