Driver Cited In Chaska Hit-And-Run Incidents

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- More than a month after a series of hit-and-run crashes in Chaska, authorities have cited a driver in the case.

The Chaska Police Department says the driver was involved in two hit-and-run crashes that caused significant damage in two neighborhoods in the early morning hours of May 5. Authorities identified the driver responsible on Thursday as 24-year-old Weston Parrack of Chaska. He was cited for two counts of leaving the scene of a collision without injury.

Authorities were called to two neighborhoods on Shadow Lane and Autumn Woods Drive on a report of property damage. Homeowners in the Shadow Lane area woke up at about 1 a.m. to a crash and discovered a 2014 Jeep Wrangler had smashed into their home, causing significant damage to their garage and vehicles inside. They also witnessed the driver, Parrack, back out of the garage and flee from the residence.

Officers later spotted a series of damaged mailboxes in a nearby neighborhood on Autumn Woods Drive.

There were no injuries in either crash.
