When the Timberwolves’ rookie sensation isn’t dominating the paint in the states, he can be found practicing his euro step on unsuspecting people in China.
The euro step is a sleek move players generally use to create an open shot in basketball. It has turned into a bit of a pop-culture phenomenon as players and fans have taken to performing imaginary basketball moves in crowded areas (crossovers, dunks and euro steps among others).
On his tour of China with Nike, Towns gets to play the role of tourist and celebrity at the same time by taking pictures with fans, euro stepping about and visiting historic sites. He may be an NBA star but he also uses Snapchat like any normal teenager would. You can follow Towns on Snapchat (ka_towns) to see him scaring random people with his fancy footwork.
While he’s pretty good at basketball, he may be even better at Snapchat.
Towns will look to build on a historic rookie season where he averaged 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in just 32 minutes per game.
