Local Music Tap: Bob Mould To Headline Summit's Backyard Bash

Former Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould has been tapped to headline Summit's 30th Anniversary Backyard Bash -- along with even more local talent.

On Tuesday, event organizers announced the lineup for the Saturday, Sept. 10 all-day music event.

Aside from Mould, the event will feature local artists Bully, deM atlas, Bad Bad Hats, Apollo Cobra, and Nooky Jones. Hotpants DJs will be spinning vinyl between sets, too.

A portion of the party's proceeds will go to the Minnesota Music Coalition, which is a nonprofit that supports Minnesota musicians.

"This year's Backyard Bash pays tribute to all the friends we've made along the way, and we're excited to welcome some of the area's top acts to help us celebrate," Summit founder and president Mark Stutrud said.

Tickets to the 21-plus event are $30 in advance and $40 on the day of the show. Children 12 years old and under are allowed in free of charge with parental supervision.
