Hy-Vee Opens 3rd Twin Cities Store In Lakeville

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Hy-Vee opened its third grocery store in the Twin Cities Tuesday.

After opening locations in New Hope and Oakdale last year, the Iowa-based chain opened a store in Lakeville.

The new location is at the corner of Pilot Knob Road and County Road 46, very close also for shoppers in Apple Valley and Rosemount.

They held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday.

Hy-Vee has all your typical grocery items, and also several specialized departments. These include pastries, a juice and smoothie island, an Asian grill, a made to order Mexican stand, salad and sushi bars, a health clinic, a dietitian and wellness department and much more. There is also a fashion section, featuring British brand F & F.

The Lakeville store opened at 6 a.m. and people started lining up nearly 12 hours ago.

The next Hy-Vees in the works are in Brooklyn Park and Eagan. They are just a few months away from opening.
