1 Dead After Motorcycle Hits Sign In Goodhue County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One woman is dead after a motorcycle hit a sign in Goodhue County Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol says 55-year-old Joseph Frisch of Madelia, Minnesota, was driving a Harley Davidson southbound on Highway 61 when the motorcycle went off the road and hit a sign near Welch Short Cut. It happened just before 3:30 p.m.

The passenger, 55-year-old Janean Thielman of Oakdale, Minnesota, was killed, according to State Patrol. Frisch has serious injuries.
