DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say an Iowa man was killed and another was injured in an early morning car crash.
Des Moines police say they were called to the single vehicle crash around 2:40 a.m. Sunday. A passenger, 23-year-old Bill Saywonson of Des Moines, died at the scene. Police say the vehicle crashed into a traffic signal pole after losing control in an intersection just north of downtown Des Moines. Witnesses pulled both men from the vehicle after it appeared to be catching fire.READ MORE: Bow Wow Film Festival
