Wis. State Patrol: Man With 6 DWIs Flees Deputies On Foot

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Wisconsin State Patrol says a 50-year-old man fled deputies after being pulled over for what will likely become his seventh drunk-driving conviction.

Jeffrey Lee Seegert, of Mondovi, was pulled over Friday night at about 11:30 p.m. for speeding on Interstate 94 in Eau Claire County.

Deputies say Seegert fled his vehicle, jumped over a fence and was later traced to a nearby trailer lot by a Dunn County K-9 officer. The state patrol says he was found "laying face down in the bushes."

Seegert is in the Eau Claire County Jail, where he awaits criminal charges.
