MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesota is joining the national fight to end veteran homelessness.

On Tuesday, U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro joined Congressman Keith Ellison, Gov. Mark Dayton and St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, who were in Minneapolis for the annual “StandDown for Vetrans” event.

It connects homeless veterans with services and support.

Castro and Ellison also joined Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges for National Night Out in Oak Park.
