Heavy Rains Cause Twin Cities Flash Flood Warning

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Flash flood warnings were in effect for the Twin Cities Wednesday night, as heavy rains moved through the area.

Several inches of rain came down in just hours. There are reports of some roadways and intersections underwater.

Roads, bridges and low-lying areas are all prone to flooding.

Active thunderstorms spread across most of central Minnesota along the I-94 corridor, with several severe thunderstorm warnings issued earlier in the evening. Those storms moved south as the evening continued, heading through Scott and Dakota counties.

Much of the rest of the state was under a Flash Flood watch as showers roll across the midwest. Head to the WCCO Weather Center for the latest information.
