65-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Edina

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Edina Police say that a 65-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle Sunday evening.

Police responded to the area of Minnesota Drive and France Avenue just before 9 p.m., after a bystander saw a man being struck by a vehicle there.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not immediately released.

Investigators said the intersection had lights and crosswalks.

The driver did not appear to be impaired in any way, police said, and was cooperating with investigators.
