Authorities ID Woman Killed, Man Hurt At Coon Rapids Apartment

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified a woman killed and a man seriously injured at a Coon Rapids apartment complex last Thursday.

Officers were called to the 9200 block of University Avenue Northwest at about 1:45 a.m. on a report of a wounded man in the entry way of the Woodland North Apartments. Police found the 24-year-old man in a pool of blood, and a knife was nearby. Residents helped him until EMS arrived.

Residents say officers then went inside an apartment and found the body of a female resident.

Police say the 34-year-old woman was dead, and that there was a previous relationship between her and the man found bleeding in the entryway.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office identified the woman Tuesday as Rebecca Lee Drewlo of Coon Rapids. The man has been identified as Lucas Anthony Jablonski.

Authorities say Drewlo lived at the apartment complex and Jablonski may have been staying there. Authorities say they are not looking for any additional suspects in the incident.

Anyone with information about the incident or who might have seen either of them in the days leading up to the incident is asked to call the Anoka County Sheriff's Office at (763) 427-1212.
