MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota State Fair is officially underway so many people will be enjoying fair festivities all weekend.
But, if you’re looking for fun outside of the fair, we have you covered with festivals for apples, yoga, and even chalk art.
Be prepared to be amazed at this year’s Chalk Walk Arts Festival.
On Saturday, artists will create beautiful chalk drawings in full view of the public at Harrison Park in Minneapolis.
Along with music, and food and drink vendors, feel free to bring your own chalk and see what you can create.
Donations of school supplies will be collected to help Twin Cities children who need it.
Find your zen on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.
The Spirit of the Midwest Yoga Festival takes place this Saturday at Excelsior Commons.
Participate in a yoga session, get a mini massage or learn to meditate like a yogi.
Tickets are available for purchase online or at the door.
It’s getting to be that time of year for apple picking!
This weekend, you can do that while helping a good cause.
“Apple Pick’n Days” is this Saturday and Sunday at Deardorff Orchards & Parley Lake Winery in Waconia.
Come pick some apples, make a scarecrow or play some games, all while benefiting Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.
