MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — One person is in custody after a shooting in downtown Minneapolis.

The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Monday near 5th Street South and Hennepin Avenue South.

Police say a man was shot in the back and a woman was shot in the hip. The man is expected to be OK, and the woman was listed in stable condition at the hospital.

The gunman started running from the scene, but officers eventually caught up with him and arrested him.

They also recovered a gun.
