Gophers Basketball To Play At U.S. Bank Stadium In Final Four Warm-Up
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – You can consider it a test run for the Final Four. The Gopher men's basketball team is scheduled to play a game in U.S. Bank Stadium next December.
Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Director Michelle Kelm-Helgen says an opponent and actual date have not yet been decided. She says the University of Minnesota would like to find a prominent team to showcase the new stadium.
U.S. Bank Stadium is slated to host the Final Four in early April of 2019. NCAA officials would attend the Gopher game to get a feel for the stadium and make sure it meets basketball standards.
