Tommies, Johnnies Meet For 86th Matchup

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Saturday is the 86th meeting in the Tommie versus Johnnie football series.

The first game between Saint John's University and University of St. Thomas was back in 1901.

Last year's game in Collegeville drew a Division 3 record attendance of more than 17,300 people.

For the first time ever, both teams come into the rivalry game ranked in the top six nationally.

The Johnnies will be looking for revenge this year after losing twice to the Tommies last year, including in the playoffs.

Both teams are undefeated going into Saturday's matchup, which is in Collegeville at 1 p.m.

Tickets are 1$2 for adults and $10 for visiting students.
