Sewer Backup Causes Walker Art Center To Temporarily Close

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A sewer backup has caused Minneapolis' Walker Art Center to close for a couple days.

Museum officials say the backup, which happened early Wednesday morning, was caused by a combination of storm water and Hennepin Avenue construction.

The Walker will be closed until Saturday morning while crews clean up the mess.

Two film scheduled to screen during the sudden closing have been rescheduled. "Pariah" will now be shown Saturday at 2 p.m., and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" will be screened on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
