3 Burglars Arrested After All Slip On Restaurant Floor

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in St. Paul say the arrest of three burglars at a popular restaurant over the weekend looked like something out of a cartoon.

Charges filed in Ramsey County show that three burglars, all of which have long criminal records, slipped on the slick floor of Brasa Premium Rotisserie as they were trying to flee an officer who was patrolling the area.

Fifty-four-year-old Nicholas Alphonso Harris, 54-year-old Andre Donnell Ellis and 60-year-old Alvin Benex Collins were all arrested early Sunday morning, a criminal complaint states.

The three now face burglary charges.

Police say the men broke into the restaurant by busting a window. They also allegedly smashed an office wall in an attempt to steal the business' safe.

According to a criminal complaint, Ellis has at least 9 felony convictions, Collins has at least 10 felony convictions and Harris has at least 12 felony convictions.
