Each week, Mike Augustyniak finds a new cocktail from a local mixologist. This weekend, he heads to downtown St. Paul to try a Stubborn Mule at Herbie’s on the Park.

Stubborn Mule

  • 2 oz Bulleit Bourbon
  • ¼ oz fresh lemon juice
  • 4-5 oz Earl Giles ginger beer (or similar)
  • 1 eyedropper Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters
  • Filthy brand Black Cherry to garnish

Instructions:

Shake bourbon and lemon juice together briefly, over ice. Strain into copper Mule mug filled with fresh ice. Top with ginger beer, and garnish with a cherry.

Herbie’s on the Park is located steps away from the Ordway, and Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul.
