Vikings Laquon Treadwell Sports Special Monday Night Football Cleats
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Vikings are in Chicago to take on the Bears for Monday Night Football.
The game is a homecoming for first-round draft pick Laquon Treadwell, who grew up in the Windy City. The Vikings rookie has not seen much time this year.
In part, because of a thumb injury and in part because he has not been able to beat out the veterans. Monday night, he's looking forward to family and paying tribute to his favorite baseball team.
"It's going to be great. I'll have my family there and I'll have my friends. It'll be an experience to enjoy and I think my family will enjoy it," Treadwell said. "Hopefully we'll get out of there with a W. I've got a little surprise on my cleats this week for the Cubs to support them. A little tribute to the Cubs."
For Treadwell, that surprise is cleats that say "Cubs Win!" These shoes are designed by Mache Custom Kicks. Players do face expensive fines for wearing custom cleats, but many just do it anyway.
