Holidazzle Returns To Loring Park, Will Open Following Thanksgiving

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Halloween is over so it's time to start looking ahead to the winter holidays!

In less than a month, the Holidazzle will return to Minneapolis.

For the second year in a row, Loring Park will host the holiday festival.

The day after Thanksgiving, the Holidazzle will open with a special Ceremonial Opening. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. there will be a holiday lighting, musical performance and fireworks display.

This year's festival will include several traditions, such as visits from Santa, musical performances, crafts, food and beverages, all from local businesses.

Movie nights will return this year, with two outdoor movies played each week. Movies include "Home Alone," "Elf," "Frozen," "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and more.

The ice skating rink will also return! The Wells Fargo Minneapolis WinterSkate will be open seven days a week, and includes the warming house. For those who don't have their own skates, complimentary pairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For those who may miss the opening ceremony, fireworks will be displayed on Dec. 3, Dec. 10, Dec. 17 and Dec. 23 as well.

The festival will run Thursdays through Sundays, beginning Nov. 25 and ending Dec. 23.

Holidazzle is free and open to the public. It will be open from 5 – 9 p.m. Thursdays, 5 – 10 p.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.
