Claw Back Period On Absentee Votes Ends
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The window for Minnesota voters to claw back their absentee ballots is now closed.
Voters had until Tuesday to cancel their submitted ballots for a do-over. By Wednesday, election judges across the state were starting to open and process those votes cast early by mail or in person.
Donald Trump urged supporters in Wisconsin, Minnesota and other early voting states to pull back their ballots and make a change during a Tuesday rally in Wisconsin. Other states have different deadlines.
Minnesota has allowed absentee voting for years. But this is the first presidential election allowing Minnesota voters to cast an absentee ballot for no reason. Early voting began in late September.
The Secretary of State's office doesn't specifically track how many voters have asked to pull back their ballots.
