Man, 53, Dies In Shooting Near Powderhorn Park Neighborhood

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis are investigating after a man was found shot in an alley near the Powderhorn Park neighborhood Tuesday night.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, just after 10 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired near the area of Cedar Avenue South and 34th Street East.

Upon arrival, officers located a 53-year-old man in an alley. He had been shot several times.

The man was taken to HCMC, where he later died.

The victim's identity has not yet been released.

Officers canvassed the neighborhood and plan to speak with residents of the neighborhood Wednesday. No arrests have been made.
