MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in southern Minnesota are searching for a missing 12-year-old girl who is developmentally disabled.

According to the St. Peter Police Department, just before 4 a.m. Friday a motorist reported seeing a female wearing pajamas and no shoes on the Highway 99 bridge.

About an hour later, a woman called saying her daughter, 12-year-old Mya Ann Arriage, wandered out of her their home.

Arriage is approximately 5-feet-3-inches tall and 250 pounds. She is non-verbal and often combative, police said. At the time she left home, she was wearing an aqua blue T-shirt and pink pajama pants with polka dots.

Several agencies are collaborating on an extensive air, ground and water search.
