1 Dead, 1 Injured In Dodge County Head-On Crash
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One man is dead and another is injured following a head-on collision in Dodge County early Tuesday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 19-year-old Hayfield man, was traveling northbound on Highway 56 when he tried to pass another car. As he was attempting to pass the vehicle, he struck a southbound Ford Focus, driven by a 66-year-old Dodge Center man, head-on.
The 66-year-old was killed. The 19-year-old suffered serious injuries.
Names have not yet been released.
Minnesota State Patrol said Highway 56 remains closed as the investigation is on-going.
