It's Give To The Max Day!

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- It's the time of year again -- when Minnesotans all across the state give back, on Give to the Max Day!

Give to the Max Day is a 24-hour event that encourages people to donate.

For many schools and nonprofits, this is the biggest fundraiser of the year.

So far, $2.5 million dollars has been donated.

The groups that get the most donations in different categories, get even more money. Prizes go up to $10,000  for first-place finishers.

GiveMN does charge nearly seven-percent on each transaction, however, to help cover processing costs.
