WATCH: Cordarrelle Patterson Takes Kickoff 104 Yards

By Rahul Lal

The Minnesota Vikings have had one of the best defenses and special teams all season and both have been on full display on Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. After a 100-yard interception return for a score by Xavier Rhodes in the second quarter, the Vikings opened up the half on a Cordarrelle Patterson kickoff return for six.

The return was 104 yards and put the struggling Vikings up 27-17. The Vikings and Cardinals are each teams that have struggled as of late. The Vikings most notably got off to the NFL's hottest start and have been on the losing end up their last four games making their playoff hopes shaky.

A big part of what created the early season surge for the Vikings was their defense and special teams efforts. Going against a tough defense, their efforts away from offense will be as important as ever to pull out a win against a veteran team like the Cardinals.
