Man With Knife Arrested In Becker County Human Services Office
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Frazee, Minnesota man was arrested in Detroit Lakes Wednesday for wielding a knife in the lobby of a Becker County Human Services office.
According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, deputies and Detroit Lakes police officers responded to a report of an agitated man in the building. Dispatch told deputies that the man -- identified as 45-year-old Donald Merrill -- was sharpening a knife in the lobby.
Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the man. Officers searched him and discovered several knives and controlled substances.
The Sheriff's Office says there were no direct threats made involving a knife in the incident.
