MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Gavin Kaysen’s latest culinary adventure is set to take sail in Wayzata in early 2017.

The owner of renowned Minneapolis restaurant Spoon and Stable has revealed his newest restaurant will be called Bellecour, which he said comes from the Place Bellecour in the center of Lyon.

Bellecour’s menu will reportedly feature a mix of French classics and Midwestern flavors, and will also boast a bakery by pastry chef Diane Yang.

The restaurant will be located at 739 Lake Street in the former home of The Blue Point.

“Once I walked through these doors, I felt an immediate connection to the charm and the natural character of the building, the town, and the smell of the lake nearby,” Kaysen said.

The restaurant should open during the first three months of next year.
