MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — From Donald Trump clashing with a union leader to Twinsfest tickets soon up for grabs, here are the four stories to know for Thursday, Dec. 8.

Trump Clashes With Union Leader

President-elect Donald Trump continues his “thank you” tour in Iowa today amid his latest feud with a Union leader who criticized his recent Carrier jobs deal. Citing no evidence, Trump tweeted that Chuck Jones had done a “terrible job.” On CNN, Jones accused Trump of inflating the number of jobs being saved by the deal.

Michigan Recount Stymied

After three days, a judge has pulled the plug on Michigan’s presidential recount. The federal judge says he had to follow a Michigan Appeals Court decision — which found Green Party candidate Jill Stein couldn’t seek a recount. A recount is still ongoing in Wisconsin, and Stein is seeking one in Pennsylvania. Trump also won those states.

Best Times To Shop

When is the best time to do your holiday shopping? FourSquare data says you’ll avoid the biggest crowds on Monday, Thursday and Friday. But it does depend on the store. For outlet malls, Tuesday afternoons are best, for big-box stores try Friday morning.
