Bon Iver To Headline Rock The Garden, Tickets On Sale

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Bon Iver, the Wisconsin indie folk crooner nominated for two Grammy Awards this year, is slated to headline Rock the Garden next summer, and tickets to the show are already available.

The Walker Art Center, which hosts the event along with The Current, announced Wednesday that the Eau Claire-based musician will play at the newly-renovated Sculpture Garden in Minneapolis on July 22, a Saturday.

A limited number of pre-sale tickets are available for Walker Art Center and Minnesota Public Radio members. General admission tickets run $64 while VIP tickets cost $300. The pre-sale event ends Friday.

The remaining bands on the lineup will be announced in April.

Bon Iver, headed by songwriter and musician Justin Vernon, last played Rock the Garden in 2008. His 2016 release "22, A Million" is nominated for Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Album and Best Recording Package.

Last July, Rock the Garden was held at Boom Island Park in northeast Minneapolis as the Walker Art Center underwent summer construction. Next year, the annual music festival will return to the museum's Hennepin Avenue campus.
