St. Paul, Minneapolis Declare Snow Emergencies

MINNEAPOLIS -- Snow emergencies are now in effect on both sides of the Mississippi River.

St. Paul and Minneapolis each made their declarations late Saturday morning, after anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of snow accumulated from late Friday night through the overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

Several other metro cities declared snow emergencies as early as Friday afternoon.

Meteorologist Mike Augustyniak says the snow is done for now, but record-setting cold and dangerous wind chills are expected later Saturday and well into Sunday.
