MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An overnight shooting in Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood has landed an Uber driver in jail.

Minneapolis police arrested the suspected gunman, 38-year-old Abshir Yusuf Qanyare, of Mankato. They say he works as an Uber driver.
The victim, 26-year-old Abdullahi Mohamed of Minneapolis, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. He is expected to be OK.READ MORE: Appeals Court: Judge Erred In Not Reinstating 3rd-Degree Murder Charge Against Derek Chauvin
One witness said he was playing darts inside Uptown Tavern when he heard gunshots and then saw Mohamed come stumbling through the doors. Mohamed was bleeding and holding a gun, the witness said. It appeared he was shot in the stomach.

Qanyare was booked into the Hennepin County Jail, pending felony assault charges.
