16 Calves, 2 Goats Perish In Stearns Co. Barn Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says 16 calves and two goats have died in a barn fire late Wednesday evening.
At 11:19 p.m., emergency crews responded to the barn fire located at 25785 368th Street in Oak Township, which is about 2 miles east of Freeport.
Authorities say a family member noticed the fire as she arrived home. The homeowner and fire crews extinguished the flames, but the shed was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
