Man Dies After Suffering Critical Injuries In Snowmobile Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A man who was critically injured in a snowmobile crash Sunday has died, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Christopher Yarger, 48, died Sunday evening from injuries sustained in the crash, the sheriff's office said.

The crash occurred near the 400 block of Shagawa Road North in Ely just before 3 p.m. Yarger was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth.

The sheriff's office said speed and alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash.
