Suspect In Columbia Heights Bank Robbery Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A suspect is in custody following a bank robbery in Columbia Heights Thursday.

According to the Columbia Heights Police Department, at 3:15 p.m. officers responded to a call of robbery at a U.S. Bank located on the 5200 block of Central Avenue NE.

Upon arrival, police learned a male suspect fled on foot.

Police and other assisting agencies attempted to locate the suspect but were unsuccessful. However, through further investigation, police were able to identify the suspect as Darin Keith Yellow.

According to the police, officers were able to apprehend him using his last known address.

Yellow was booked into the Anoka County jail on charge of simple robbery.

The case is currently under investigation.
