MSP Airport Briefly Shuts Down Ticketing At Terminal 2 Due To Suspicious Item

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport briefly shut down its ticketing lobby in Terminal 2 due to a suspicious item found Wednesday morning.

MSP airport officials say the incident was reported at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, prompting the airport to close off the ticketing lobby. The Bloomington Bomb Squad was called in.

Airport spokesman Pat Hogan says the item was left in front of the Southwest ticket counter area, but wouldn't say what the item was.

Shortly after 6 a.m., the airport tweeted the suspicious item was cleared and ticketing is reopen.
