Police: Robbery Thwarted By Legal Gun Owner In St. Paul
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An attempted robbery in St. Paul became a shooting after the intended victim pulled out his legally permitted firearm.
Police say it happened Tuesday night just before 8 p.m. at 5th and Wacouta streets in St. Paul. The robber pulled out a gun and threatened another man, who had a permit to carry a weapon and shot the would-be criminal.
The gunshot wound was not life threatening, police said.
St. Paul police are investigating the incident.
