Sheriff: Minivan Hits, Kills Cow In Stearns County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A husband and wife were not hurt after their minivan struck a cow Friday night in Stearns County.
The sheriff's office says the couple, from Avon, were traveling southbound on County Road 9 in Holding Township when a whiteface heifer started crossing the roadway just south of 400 Street.
The heifer was hit and killed. A local farmer helped move the animal victim from the road.
The sheriff's office says they were able to track down the cow's owner Saturday morning.
