Police: Pedestrian Killed By Vehicle In Southwest Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman has died after being struck by a car in Minneapolis' Armatage neighborhood Thursday night.
Police say the woman was hit near 54th Street and Penn Avenue South at about 8:24 p.m. Investigators say she was walking southbound on Penn Avenue, and was not in the crosswalk when she was struck.
She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the driver who hit her stayed at the scene and has cooperated with investigators.
The victim's name has not been released.
