MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A stretch of road in St. Paul will be closed for the rest of the weekend because of a rockslide, according to the St. Paul Police Department.

The rock slide occurred on Wabasha Street South around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The road is closed from Plato Boulevard to Cesar Chavez Street.

The police department tweeted the road would be closed for the weekend, but Ramsey County's Public Works director said it will be closed until the job is done.

A geologist will help officials determine what caused the rocks to slide.

No one was injured in the rockslide, according to police. The sidewalk is partially destroyed.
