Fargo Man Fatal Shoots Wife, Tries To Kill Self
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo police say an 85-year-old man shot and killed his wife and then tried to kill himself.
The body of the 85-year-old woman was found in the garage of the couple's apartment early Saturday. The man had called to say he had just killed his wife.
Investigators say the man apparently shot his wife and then himself after the couple tried to kill themselves from carbon monoxide poisoning by running their car in the garage.
KFGO-AM reports the man and woman were in poor health.
The husband is expected to recover. Reports will be sent to the Cass County prosecutor's office once police conclude their investigation.
