After 43 Years Of Business, Rudolphs BBQ Closes For Good

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After more than 40 years in business, Rudolphs Bar-B-Que has smoked its last rack of ribs.

The restaurant near downtown Minneapolis at Franklin and Lyndale avenues locked its doors Monday.

A sign on the door Friday morning said the eatery was closed temporarily. Employees, however, told WCCO they've been told Rudolph's is closed for good.

By Friday afternoon, the restaurant's website admitted "the rumors are true."

"Thank you for 43 wonderful years," the website message read. "Please continue to support all the great independent restaurants in the Twin Cities. We will miss you."
