Woman On Rental Scooter Struck By Cargo Van

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman riding a rental scooter in downtown Minneapolis was injured when she collided with a cargo van Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, the van was turning onto Hennepin Avenue from Washington Avenue when the scooter rider ran into the vehicle. Preliminary reports say she was not wearing a helmet.

Police say the victim, who has not been identified, suffered non-life threatening injuries. She is in stable condition at Hennepin County Medical Center.
