U Recognizes Prince With Highest Honorary Degree
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - Although he never attended college, the University of Minnesota will honor Prince with a degree.
In late September, they will present the late artist with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. This is considered the highest honor.
The degree is in recognition of his talent, influence and role in shaping the city of Minneapolis.
It will be presented to Prince's sister, and university music students will perform a tribute in honor of him.
