MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating what caused at least one boat and part of a dock to catch fire Sunday afternoon on Lake Minnetonka.

The Hennepin County Water Patrol responded to the incident Sunday afternoon on Lafayette Bay. Authorities say at least one boat and part of a dock caught fire.

The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office says a recreational boat caught fire on the bay. Everyone on board was able to get off the boat safely. The boat drifted into a dock that had two other recreational boats. All three boats and the dock were destroyed in the fire.
