POLK COUNTY, Wis. (WCCO) — Another bear has been rescued after Polk County Police removed a plastic globe from a cub’s head.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Department posted a photo of Officer Tamara Larson and Sgt. Brent Waak carefully removing the globe, while they say a “very stressed out momma bear” was kept a safe distance away.

According to a Facebook post, several citizens also helped with the rescue efforts.

WHY was there such an item out in the wild???

WE are so lucky to have Officer Larson in our county, especially all her help with injured and orphaned wildlife. She works tirelessly with no help from any government agency. Just donations and volunteers, and mostly her own money and sweat. Love her.
