WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says President Donald Trump’s highly anticipated meeting with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein could be delayed again.

They were expected to meet this week, but press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tells “Fox News Sunday” she could see the meeting “pushing back another week” given the continued focus on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination.

Rosenstein’s job may be in question following reports he discussed possibly secretly recording Trump and invoking the Constitution’s 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

Trump and Rosenstein spoke by telephone last week when Trump was in New York. Trump said then that Rosenstein denied the reports, and that he’d “certainly prefer not” to fire Rosenstein.

Rosenstein is the Justice Department’s No. 2 official. He oversees the special counsel investigation into Russian election interference.
