MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Investigators are looking for what caused a fire that destroyed a church west of the Twin Cities.
It started around 7 p.m. Sunday in Norwood Young America.
The Church of the Maples has stood for more than 140 years, and the congregation recently celebrated its 160th anniversary.
No one was hurt in the fire.
It’s not clear whether any of the church can be saved, but for the foreseeable future, the pastor says worshippers will travel to the United Methodist Church in Arlington.
