Minnesota Weather: Minneapolis, St. Paul Declare Snow Emergencies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Both Minneapolis and St. Paul have declared a snow emergencies Wednesday as snow falls on the Twin Cities.

Minneapolis
Snow emergency rules will go into effect in Minneapolis at 9 p.m. Wednesday, when all snow emergency routes will be plowed. Those parked on snow emergency routes will be subject to being ticketed and towed.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, crews will plow the even sides of non-snow emergency routes. Those parking on the even side of the street will be subject to being ticketed and towed.

At 8 a.m. Friday, plows will clear the odd sides of non-snow emergency routes. Those parking on unclear streets will be subject to being ticketed and towed.

St. Paul

The snow emergency will go into effect Wednesday at 9 p.m., when all Night Routes will be plowed. Those parked on Night Routes during the emergency will be subject to being ticketed and towed.

At 8 a.m. Thursday, crews will plow all Day Routes. Those parked on Day Routes will be subject to being ticketed and towed.
